In the process of developing its new Fusion Hybrid and other plug-in vehicles, Ford said it recorded 461 hybrid patents including those for the powertrain enabling the Fusion to achieve 47 mpg.
Among its most talented inventors, Ford made special mention of Ming Kuang, who has helped Ford since 2000 to expand its portfolio of hybrid patents from just 10 patents when he began to 461 today.

They used to say, if you want something done, give it to a busy person. Now? Give it to Facebook! That’s just what Ford did, handing over the important duty of naming the 2012 Ford Mustang V6 Performance Package to nearly 1.4 million Mustang fans, because undoubtedly they would have an opinion or two. You may remember from January that the Ford news at the 2011 North American International Auto Show was predominately about forthcoming electric-drive vehicles. But Ford didn’t just make news at the show, they provided an electric-vehicle experience too. More than 10,000 visitors during the auto show were able to for a ride in the Focus Electric.
