Mazda is giving away one of its all-new 2011 Mazda2 subcompacts via social media. Already the automaker has given away a Mazda2 on Facebook, but this time the automaker is eager to give yet another vehicle away on Foursquare. The initiative is part of Mazda’s continuing social media marketing efforts, as many target buyers spend considerable time on social networking websites.
Foursquare, a mobile application that helps users explore their city and meet up with friends in their area by “checking in.” Mazda’s Inner Driver Challenge on foursquare involves checking in at certain places in select cities and unlocking badges. Once the user unlocks two of these badges, they will learn how to enter for a chance to win a 2011 Mazda2.
There are a few simple steps necessary for those interested in winning the Mazda2:
- Follow Mazda on foursquare [foursquare.com/mazdausa].
- Check-in at relevant locations to unlock any two of the following three badges: MAZDA2 Beat Junkie (concerts & music spots), MAZDA2 Style Guru (nightlife haunts, boutiques and fashion events) and MAZDA2 Button Masher (Gaming Competitions & retailers)
- Beat Junkie check-in locations include the remaining stops on the MAZDA2 Music Tour, featuring falsetto crooner Mayer Hawthorne’s national tour as he performs with backing-band The County. The remaining dates on the MAZDA2 Music Tour can be found at http://www.MAZDA2MusicTour.com. Eligible cities with check-in locations include: Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Washington DC, and Portland.
- Once they’ve earned two of the custom badges, participants will instantly earn the fourth custom badge, Inner Driver, which will inform them how to enter to win a brand new MAZDA2.
