The last time we checked in on the Ford Focus engineering team, they were flogging the next-generation Focus on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road in the Austrian Alps. They have since moved on from the high-altitude locale to do hot-weather testing in southern Spain.
While many of the engineering tests focus on how climate extremes affect the performance of the vehicle, the comfort of the driver and passengers in these tough conditions is equally important.
Between now and mid-October, Fiesta World Tour 2010 will cross the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Middle East, China, Southeast Asia and finally Australia. This is an epic around-the-world expedition to mark the launch of the Ford Fiesta in the U.S.
Media from the UK, U.S. and Australia are the drivers of the first leg of the journey, which stretches from Los Angeles to New York city. During this two-month long global expedition, invited journalists will produce feature stories that reflect the more surprising and not-so-well-known elements of each region.
WKTV is calling on all car lovers to create and upload a short story about their favorite car during the 6th annual Metro Cruise Aug. 28. To join the 2010 “Car Squad” volunteers can stop by the TV truck parked at Roger’s Plaza to get a badge. For the 2011 model year, the Ford F-150 is getting the most extensive powertrain overhaul in the truck’s history. The 2011 F-150 will be offered with four new truck engines, all coupled to a revised six-speed automatic transmission.
A 3.7-liter V6, a 5.0-liter V8 and a version of the 6.2-liter V8 that is the base engine in the 2011 Ford F-Series Super Duty will be available when the 2011 Ford F-150 arrives at dealerships. launch of the all-new Ford Fiesta has been anything but traditional – it’s been fun, unique and trendsetting. The new Ford Fiesta ad starring rally driver Ken Block is no different. The 60-second ad features Block accomplishing everyday errands, such as taking out the trash, going grocery shopping, and dropping mail in the mailbox – all in his Monster World Rally Team Fiesta.
